Deaf Ministry

Deaf_AdvocacyHello and Welcome to the Deaf Ministry at Heritage Memorial Church. We like to call our Deaf ministry “Bridging the Gap”, (or BTG for short) because our goal is to help bridge the gap or connect deaf individuals to God by offering:

  • Interpreted worship services (the full service, not just the music!)

  • Access to other events Heritage holds: picnics, movies, banquets, outings etc.

Our interpreter, Jenny Benedetti, holds a degree from Columbus State’s accredited Interpreter Training Program and is qualified to interpret not only at church but all over the state of Ohio.

Bridging the Gap Deaf Ministry is not only about offering the Deaf a place to worship through an interpreted service but also a place to grow and learn to become disciples of God. You will be able to serve, study and worship with others both Deaf and hearing who use American Sign Language.

Our Ministry was founded on a verse in 1 Timothy which states “This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the Truth” -1 Timothy 2:3-4.

In other words, God wants us all to be saved and to grow close to Him! This means that Deaf are important to God and you are also important to us!

Please join us for fellowship and contact us if you have any questions. _\,,/
